Capt. Sasidharan Manikkath

Started career as a deck cadet in 1992. Served in bulk carriers and tankers in various ascending capacities as third officer, second officer, and chief officer, taking command of a Suezmax crude oil tanker as Master in 2007.

Moved to a shore based position  in 2007 and specifically into ship inspection division, thus specialising in this field by personally carrying out more than 150 inspections of dry cargo vessels, oil, chemical and gas tankers for leading ship owners, financial institutions, managers, charteres, Pand I clubs etc.

Headed the ship inspection division of a leading ship management company from 2018 until September 2020. Started his own venture- 4star Marine Consultancy in September 2020. His vast experience, knowledge and high quality reports have helped many clients with their crucial decision making concerning sale and purchase of  ships, chartering of ships, insurance underwriting and cargo & damage surveys of ships.
